My conceal and I are looking to purchase health insurance. We are young (under 25), healthy (non-smokers) and looking for coverage on balance for doctor's office visits and prescriptions. I end in Michigan. The Health insurance that is offered from my employer has become unaffordable. I have been looking at obtaining health insurance on my own (myself and 2 kids) and my employer is now telling me that if insurance is offered from your function of employment you are required to take it and that it is not Legal to go on your own for health insurance. He said that if something major were to happen and I had signed up with another insurance company then the claim would not be paid.

What Is The Best Health Insurance Plan For A Healthy Family Of 3?

It's me, my little woman and my daughter.
My wife and I are both self employed, and we live in Michigan.
We would like to have some kind of basic coverage in case we trouble to go to the Emergency Room.
Who can we call and ask?
Which insurance company gives the best deal?
Should we buy cathastrophic insurance only?

Answer: You should NOT by a catastrophic organize or hospital only plan. They are ridiculous plans. ALWAYS buy a comprehensive plan and if you want to lower the incentive then up the deductible. There is NO reason whatsoever that you would, for example, want an insurance policy to pay your $100,000 bill if you had a heart assault (and went to a hospital), but NOT pay for your $100,000 bill if you got cancer (no hospital). It's a ridiculous premise and they keep very little money.

I'm a new full-time hire for a company here in Michigan. They're withholding $110 per bi-weekly paycheck, which comes out to be about $220 per month and $2860 a year.
Is this example for most jobs & health insurance?
Or do most people pay less? Or more?
I only make $10/hr, so 110 per paycheck feels pretty cumbersome.

Answer: I am in CA and Im Team and I pay nothing. My brother, also in CA and also Union, pays $100 weekly. So it all depends on the employer.

In Michigan, is an firm required to provide health insurance to a full time employee with Obama's new health plan? I am a full time employee as is the other 2 virile co-workers. I was told that because of my age (52) and female that the insurance premium would increase drastically, so not only do I feel that I am being discriminated against because the virile employees get health insurance, but working full time and not getting it. I have been with this company for 5 years.

Answer: The company can NOT only forearm insurance for the men only. If I were you I would file a grievance with the EEOC in your area because this is discrimination.
