I be versed that it is important to have health insurance when living in a different country, unless you have the cash to pay up front for medical expenses. So my question, is for those American Expats already living in the Philippines ...

I am a Canadian living in Canada, and I am greatly anxious by the state of health care up here. My son recently was refered to an "ENT" specialist. We called for the assignation and we set one that is 12 months away. I was hoping someone knew of an insurance company selling medical insurance to Canadians that would appropriate us to seek health care in the states if we cant get into see a doctor in Canada in a reasonable time.
